Professional History

Juliette van Putten is the founder of JvP Designs and a lighting product designer specializing in both architectural lighting design and product development for leading brands in the lighting industry. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands.
She began her career as a product design engineer at Brite Lite, where she developed several patented, energy-efficient lighting products. Later, she spent five years at TNO (The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) as a research scientist and project manager, focusing on the impact of lighting on human well-being. During this time, she was also a keynote speaker at international conferences and mentored architectural graduate students in lighting design.

In 2006, Juliette moved to Dubai, where she founded her own lighting design studio, working on a diverse mix of architectural lighting projects and product design for the industry. Since 2019, she has been based in the Netherlands, balancing projects across the Middle East and Europe.

In addition to her design work, Juliette is a part-time lecturer at Delft University of Technology, teaching Lighting Design in the Master’s program at the Faculty of Architecture.
