
Professional History
​
Juliette van Putten is the founder of JvP Designs and a distinguished lighting product designer with expertise spanning architectural lighting design and product development for leading international brands. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
​
Juliette began her career as a product design engineer at Brite Lite, where she contributed to the development of several patented, energy-efficient lighting solutions. She subsequently joined TNO (The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) as a research scientist and project manager, focusing on the relationship between lighting and human well-being. During her tenure at TNO, she also served as a keynote speaker at international conferences and mentored graduate students in architectural lighting design.

In 2006, Juliette relocated to Dubai and established her own lighting design studio, delivering a broad range of architectural and product design projects across the region. Since 2019, she has been based in the Netherlands, managing projects throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Alongside her professional practice, Juliette is a part-time lecturer at Delft University of Technology, where she teaches Lighting Design in the Master’s program at the Faculty of Architecture.
